Description

Description: This is the only fern we offer that is not native to the eastern United States. This is a low growing fern, generally not getting over a foot high. Its leaves are a combination of burgundy-purple and gray – a beautiful multicolored plant that can be used to great advantage to set off deep green foliage plants in a perennial bed. It likes some shade and moisture but not wet conditions. Very special, quite rare, and slightly tender compared to our other ferns, it probably could use some protection in the winter – salt hay or other similar material.
